Hello fellow pizza friends! After a week hiatus, I am back. I know, you missed me! I missed you too.

Today, we are going to take a trip to Celebration, Florida to visit Upper Crust Pizza Cafe.

Located at 606 Market Street, Suite 160, the Upper Crust Pizza Cafe has been family owned (love it!) for over 10 years!
Operating Sunday - Saturday 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Upper Crust offers a wide variety of pizza, calzones, subs, wings, salads, and *deep breath* appetizers. It’s a bit difficult to choose as everything looks and sounds so delicious! Let’s be honest though, we all know why I was there…the pizza!

Upper Crust Pizza Cafe is a quaint indoor walk-up counter that offers take-out and delivery. There is no indoor seating, but there is limited patio seating. It’s a pretty popular spot, so if you’re visiting during busy times, I recommend having someone hold some seats (if they are available) while the other goes in to order, or maybe stroll through beautiful Downtown Celebration to find a nice area to sit and enjoy your pizza.
It is an awesome place to wander around. I love the retro “Pleasantville” style and feel.

Starting at $3.25 for a slice, which you know is right up my alley, they also offer full pies with their Market Street Pie starting at $10.00 for a 10” cheese pizza, you can add toppings at just $1.00 each.

Specialty pizzas start at $10.00 also, well, $9.99, but I like to round up…

They also have Gluten Free pies for $12.99 (no rounding here, I guess) with toppings starting at $2.00 each.

Beverage options include fountain drinks, 2 liter bottles, 16 oz. Snapple, and bottled water.

Upon walking into the restaurant, it’s very clean, but slightly cramped as it is a small location, and there is quite a bit of product in the guest area. The amount of people was a good sign as that means it’s good, right?
In this case, right. We waited to order, my eyes wandering the full menu, I was excited to find that everything is made fresh DAILY, which is awesome because some places will prepare some items and have them frozen or in the cooler. They even hand cut their vegetables the day they are used. Definitely have my attention as far as fresh goes.

The staff is pretty friendly, and efficient, although a couple seem to frazzle pretty easily, the three times I have visited, the same two employees were a little on edge, and I get it, as someone who works in hospitality, I understand that it can get pretty busy and people can get cranky while waiting for their food, but deep breaths. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a fountain drink, kept it simple.

You can definitely taste the difference between a pizza with fresh ingredients and a pizza with canned/pre-made ingredients. The sauce was a little sweeter than I tend to like it, but all in all, the pizza was yummy. The pepperoni was just the right amount so that it didn’t overpower the flavor, and the amount of grease/oil from it wasn’t excessive. The cheese was properly distributed so there were no what I like to call “bald spots.”
A bald spot is where there wasn’t enough cheese to fully cover the sauce/crust so it makes the pizza unbalanced.

I ended up grabbing a spot on the stairwell next to the restaurant as there were no tables available, but it was actually kind of fun, it added to the experience of eating pizza in a downtown setting.

I enjoyed it, I recommend it, and will be back in the future.

I give Upper Crust Pizza Cafe 6/8 slices!
